Highlandmeister
June 2nd-June 4th, 2006
Come join the Shire of Ffynnon Gath as it combines the best of the Jaegermeister and Highland Games. There will be Chivalric, and Rapier Tourneys, as well as Ogre Ball (bring your team) for all three types of fighters. Our two championship events have been combined into one. We will choose our Shire Champion (Jaegermeister) and our Highlander Champion at this event.
There are many activities planned, as the motto of this event is, “Der can only be fun!” Be a Jaeger, be a Highlander, but have fun. In the evening the Amazon’s Men in Kilts and RHOADD’s famous fire show with drumming and dancing.
Site fee is $10.00, children 5-12 is $5.00, children four and under are free. There is a $30.00 family limit. Feast will be $7. Make check payable to “SCA Inc/Shire of Ffynnon Gath”. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. They may also attend with a 21-year or older adult with a signed and notarized Minor Event Waiver Form from the parents. Pets allowed on site on leash. Alcohol in period containers only. Site opens 5pm Friday, closes 12pm Sunday.
Feast: First Remove will be Bavarian stew, cucumber salad, bread and butter. The Second Remove: Rouladen with noodles and carrots in beer. The third remove will be apple kuchen.
Merchants are encouraged and welcomed. Merchants may donate an item to the prize basket in lieu of paying the site fee.
Local amenities: There is a HEB & a Walmart 5 minutes from the site as well as various restaurants and hotels.
Directions to Site: Site is located at Nolte Island Park in Seguin, TX. Site has electricity, running water, and flush privies. Site is WET, please use period containers (NO GLASS). Pets are allowed on leashes. Per GBRA, no Horses.
